Pat is survived by his mother Adeline; wife, Lillian; children, Scott and Sandie; brother, Terry; Son-in-law, Joceran Salat; and granddaughter, Neve. He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford. Pat was born on March 19, 1948, in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan to Adeline and Clifford Paton. He graduated from Bateman Central in 1966. He married Lillian, his high school sweetheart on November 7th in 1970. After moving to Regina, Pat decided to move back to the Gravelbourg area where he purchased the Ironside Farm and began his work on his land. Over the next five years, the couple welcomed two children into their home and Pat set about teaching them to contribute to the family farm as well. His children remember him as a kind, caring, loving father who encouraged them to live their lives.
Pat loved classic cars, and he owned a considerable number of them before he became a family man and the proud owner of a station wagon. He was generous with his friends, family, and farm kittens and he was kind to all who knew him. He was a long time Lion’s member doing numerous projects to contribute to the community. A funeral is scheduled for November 11th at 2 pm at the Our Lady of Assumption Co-Cathedral, with a reception to follow at the Parish Hall. Reverend Linda Thomlinson-Seebach will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pat's life.
