Obituary of Odile Boutin

Odile Laura Gauthier Boutin passed away January 6, 2026 at the age of 91 years old. Odile was born in Ponteix, SK on March 14, 1934. On July 29,1965 Odile married Raymond Boutin.

They were blessed with six daughters. (Aline, Laurianne, Cecile, Monique, Valeda, and Anita). Mom’s greatest love was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Small but mighty mom was a strong woman in every way. She loved cutting the grass on the farm and tending to her flowers and garden. She was a hard worker, she even took a job in the kitchen at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She loved her flowers! Her favorite was a certain “Red” Geranium. She cherished visits from the family and always had the kitchen island full of snacks in case you were hungry. You would often find mom out on the deck enjoying the weather with a coffee and her smoke or working on a puzzle in the patio, or saying some of her famous sayings... “c’est plat comme une galette!” or “vien a chien”.. just to name a few...

Odile is survived by her loving family. Daughters Laurianne (George Nightingale), Monique (Brian Ogle), Valeda and Anita (Lonnie Maier) along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews. Odile is predeceased by her loving husband Raymond Boutin, daughters Aline and Cecile, grandson Ben, parents Albert and Jeanne Gauthier, Adrien Boire (first husband and father to Aline, Laurianne, Cecile) and numerous siblings.
