Obituary of Lise Vallee

Lise Vallee passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, with family at her side. Lise was born on February 20, 1944, in Ponteix, Saskatchewan, to Emile and Pauline Tourigny (née Bouchard). She was raised on the family farm four miles north of Ponteix. Lise attended the rural Comfort School for five years before taking the bus into town to complete her education in Ponteix. After graduating, Lise began her career at the Royal Bank in 1962.

On July 1, 1963, she married the love of her life Gilbert Vallee. Beginning a partnership built on love, dedication, and shared community involvement. Together, they raised their family with great pride. Their son Michel was born in 1964, followed by son Kim in 1965. In 1972, their family was completed with the birth of their daughter, Sonia.

Once the boys were in school, Lise worked as an assistant at the Town Hall and RM offices. In 1973, she returned to the Royal Bank, where she dedicated more than 30 years of service, forming lasting relationships with colleagues and community members alike.

Lise had a deep love for life and family. She enjoyed golfing, traveling, and camping with Gilbert and their children. She could often be found cheering from the stands, proudly following her boys wherever hockey took them. Lise was a devoted community volunteer and was actively involved with the Ladies of the Parish and the Catholic Women’s League. Lise and Gilbert were both very involved with the Lions Club.

Above all else, Lise cherished her grandchildren. Her grandbabies always came first, and she found her greatest joy in being present for their lives. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.

Lise is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Gilbert Vallee; son Michel (Susan) Vallee; grandson Ty (Kelsey); granddaughter Erika (Cade) Quinton; son Kim (Michele) Vallee; grandson Dominic; and granddaughter Brook; daughter Sonia (Tam) McCue; granddaughter Grace; and grandson Thomas.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Notre Dame d’Auvergne Roman Catholic Church in Ponteix, SK.
