Obituary of Randy Myhra

February 3, 1958 - February 23, 2026

Gordon Randal Myhra of Chateau St Michael passed away peacefully with family at his side.

Randy was born to Gordon and Marguerite Myhra (nee Smith) of Coderre, SK. Randy is predeceased by a family who is happy to welcome him home.

Gordon, Marguerite and Randy farmed and raised some cattle in the Coderre district. They could also be found at any auction sales, regardless of the weather, to bring home many antiques and collectables. In Randy’s early years, he enjoyed small woodwork projects, including lawn ornaments, bird houses, and wall art. He was an avid collector of screwdrivers.

Randy and Gordon moved into Chateau St Michael in 2009. Randy remained there for 17-18 years. Randy enjoyed his time attending many activities offered and doing puzzles. Randy also spent many hours reading and collecting every possible RM book that he could. His knowledge and memory of the details of many families from communities all over the province was remarkable. Randy also enjoyed phoning his family and friends daily to update them on news & activities.

 If the conversation began with “Boy, oh Boy”, it meant you were in for a good story.

 Randy leaves to mourn family and friends who will miss his special phone calls, requests for puzzles & community updates. Special thanks to the staff of Chateau St Michael’s who cared for him over the past 18 years and became his extended family.

 “Boy oh Boy”, Randy, we will really miss you and cherish all the memories you left us with.

A Graveside Celebration of Randy’s Life will be held later this spring.
