It is with very heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom and Dandy, March 4^th, 2026, Jacki and Kristen were by her side.

Mom was born Sept. 13^th, 1931 to William and Nora Reid in Moose Jaw Sask. Papa relocated his family to Whitewood where we lived until 1980. Mom worked at the Town Office as the town administrator and when her dad retired from the RM of Willowdale office, Mom became the RM secretary-treasurer. Mom was very active in the community and sat on many boards. In 1980 we moved to Regina and Mom started working for Frances Olsen realty. In November 1988 Mom was set up on a blind date and the rest is history. Curtis Eklund swept her off her feet and they were married Sept. 24^{th, 1989}. Curtis farmed southeast of Glentworth and Mom loved the farm life. When Curtis turned 65 they decided to retire and moved the farmhouse and themselves to Thomson Lake. They wintered down in Canyon Lake Texas for many years. Mom and Curtis were very active and always on the go, whether it be golfing, fishing, gardening, bridge and carpet bowling, The Red Hats, The Club 50, and bowling down in Glenworth. I think their favorite times were in the summer when the grandchildren would come out and do swimming lessons, then later blessed to have 5 of the great grandchildren do the same. Kristen was the first grandchild and she could not say Grandma, but Dandy she said, that name stuck and all the grandkids called her that. Unfortunately, Curtis was diagnosed with liver cancer in November of 2009 and passed away with Mom by his side in January 2010. His death took a toll on Mom and she was never really the same after that. She moved in Lafleche to the Wheatland Lodge and resided there until a fall caused a hip fracture. She never returned home, she moved into the Foyer D'Youville in 2020 and resided there till her death on March 4^th, 2026. Mom led a very active life enjoying knitting, cooking, baking, her flower gardens, and fondues with the great grands!!!! When she moved into the Foyer she never missed an activity or making friends, she was always busy!!

Mom is survived by her two daughters: Jamie Bushell and Jacki Reid (Gilles)

Grandchildren: Robin Bushell (Evelyn), Ben Bushell (Camille), and Kristen McCcurdy (Rick)

Greatgrandchildren: Carmen and Curtis Bushell, Riley Nogue (Alison), Jordan McCurdy, Brody McCurdy (Danica), Tyson McCurdy, and Mason McCurdy

Great-greatgrandchildren: Ashton Nogue and Baby Nogue (2026)

She was predeceased by her parents: Bill and Nora Reid

Brothers: Gordon Reid and Bill Reid

Son in law Barry Bushell

Her one and only: Curtis Eklund

As per Mom's request there will not be a funeral and we will have a private family interment at a later date.
