My most sincere condolences to Germaine’s two remaining sisters, Lily and Laurette, as well as her most precious 19 surviving nieces and nephews. The passing of Germaine is the end of an era for the Legault family in Gravelbourg. And thanks to Nicole’s beautiful eulogy we were all able to experience a little bit of that era. Although Germaine’s body has been frail for the last number of years, she fought hard to stay around. She felt it was important to keep the family home open to all that wanted to stay there. She also told me many times that she needed to stay around especially for Denise and Jerome, and Nicole and Gig, who she felt had lost their parents way too early. Germaine, you may rest in peace now, free of pain. It was a privilege to have known you. Lori Smith

From the family of Patrick and Lillian O’Loan, we are all deeply saddened to hear of her passing. She was a dear friend and neighbour during their years in Gravelbourg. Our family will forever hold her memory dear in our hearts as she always welcomed all of us in true Legault tradition; doors wide open and a bountiful harvest on the table. RIP Germaine. Now you soar with angels.

So many memories of this beautiful, kind, strong and wise woman! Our family remembers Germaine with love, gratitude and admiration. I think my strongest memory of Germaine will always be her laugh. I hear it whenever I think of her. Nicole and Gig, I am sorry we won’t be able to make it to the funeral, but Gilles and I will livestream it. So grateful for this technology. Sincere condolences to Germaine's family and friends. What a great lady! Germaine was so well read and had so many interests,so current in world and local affairs. I remember going into Legault's Furniture and Hardware as a youngster and she was always there If you wanted information or help to find anything in the store, Germaine was the go to. She knew everything about the store and the business. I will always remember her as a wonderful friend to so many people. She is a great loss to the community.

My most heartfelt condolences to you all. She talked many times about her cherished neices and nephews, but also made sure to inquire about my family. I haven't been there a lot this past year but my thoughts were with her. She was an awesome person and I feel honored to have known her. Rest in peace Germaine.

Sorry for your loss. Germaine held a special place in my heart as I grew up in Gravelbourg as one of the faces of the Legault store.
