I moved here in August 2006 to teach pre-K at Gravelbourg Elementary School. Vincent was one of my energetic and curious three-year-olds. All of my students hold a special place in my heart, but there was something unique about that first group. Vincent moved away for a little while but when he came back I had made the decision to teach a combined 1/2 class. He was in my first grade 1/2 classroom. I'll never forget the moment I saw his face again in the school hallway, main floor near the elevator. They had come in before the school year started. I was overjoyed to see him, I screamed his name, I think I may have scared him with my excitement. Vincent was funny, imaginative, athletic, caring, loved his sister Simone (Flicka) and spoke of her often, he had a contagious energy about him and endless potential. Vincent will always hold a special place in my heart. My deepest condolences go out to Simone, Michelle, Andre and to anyone who knew him and loved him.
