My deepest condolences to your family on Carl's passing. I babysat Carl and Diane when they were young, only 8 and 6. I was only 14, but I also helped Betty and Don with the harvest as a cook and housekeeper while they were in the field. When school started, Carl, Diane and I would ride the bus to school and I would come home with them and be their nanny while their mom and dad worked into the night to finish combining. I remember those times fondly, as Carl and Diane were like a little brother and little sister to me. Carl was a great friend to my brother, Bob, and to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
