Élise Cossette
Élise (née Bouvier) Cossette passed away peacefully at the St. Joseph Hospital, Gravelbourg, SK, on April 2nd 2014 with family members by her side. She was the thirteenth child born of Paul and Alma(Lacroix) Bouvier. Élise was born on November 26, 1940 in the Kincaid SK. She attended Vindictive School, Lafleche Convent Boarding School and the Convent of Jesus and Mary in Gravelbourg, SK. In June 1959, she married the love of her life, Clarence Cossette. They raised their three boys in Gravelbourg, where Clarence worked for the town for 33 years and Élise worked as a janitor for the Convent Jésus Marie for several years while raising her young boys, then later on she pursued her love for cooking at the Collège Mathieu for eighteen years where she retired as head chef. In her spare time, Élise enjoyed gardening and making preserves for her whole family to enjoy. Making pies and homemade buns were also her specialty. The freezer was never empty when company came for a visit. She was also a ceramic club member and has created many pieces that have been given as gifts to others. She treasured her time with her children and grandchildren very much and enjoyed family gatherings.
Élise is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Clarence Cossette and her three children, André (Laurie Nazarenko) of Winnipeg, MB, Roger ( Shannon Mack) of Saskatoon, SK, and Vincent ( Liza Bégin) of Sherwood Park, AB. Her eight grandchildren: Ashley (Andrew Hill) and great grandchild Connor, Lacey , Hayley, Mathieu (Roxanne Lizée) Joel, Nathan , Alika and Josiane.
Siblings Simone Chevrier, Jules Bouvier, Aimé Bouvier, Carmelle Chevrier, Jean-Paul Bouvier, Fernande Pisio, Luc Bouvier, Ronald Bouvier, Guy Bouvier, Léon Bouvier, Irène Abraham.
Predeceased by her parents Paul and Alma Bouvier (née Lacroix) brothers Albert Bouvier, Luc Bouvier, Luc Bouvier, Donat Bouvier, sisters Berthe Leduc, Annette Bouvier, Ida Bouvier.
She also leaves to mourn numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends that will forever keep her memory in their hearts.
Prayers were held on Sunday, April 6th, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass on Monday April 7th, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., both at Our Lady of the Assumption Co-Cathedral, with Bishop Donald Bolen officiant.
Memorial tributes can be made to the Saint-Joseph Hospital /Foyer d’Youville Foundation or the Co-cathedral Restoration Fund.

Le 2 avril, 2014, à l’Hôpital Saint-Joseph à l’âge de 73 ans est décédée Élise (née Bouvier) Cossette, épouse de Clarence Cossette. Élise est la 13e enfant de Paul et Alma(Lacroix) née à Kincaid, SK le 26 novembre, 1940. Elle était jeune écolière à l’école Vindictive School à Laflèche et après le décès de sa mère, elle devient pensionnaire au Couvent de Laflèche. Plus tard elle termina ses études au couvent Jésus Marie à Gravelbourg. C’est en Juin 1959 qu’elle épousa Clarence Cossette de Coderre. Ensemble ils ont eu trois garçons; André, Roger et Vincent. Clarence travailla 34 années pour la ville de Gravelbourg et Élise a été employée par le couvent Jésus-Marie pour les travaux légers et par la suite s’est dévouée à cuisiner dans la cafétéria du Collège Mathieu pendant 18 ans. Élise passait beaucoup de temps à travailler son jardin et à l’automne préparer les conserves pour que tous pouvaient en jouir. Le club de céramique et de quilles étaient aussi des passe-temps préférés.
Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux bien aimé de 54 ans, Clarence Cossette, ses trois fils, André (Laurie) Cossette, petites filles Ashley (Andrew) Hill, et arrière-petit-fils Connor, Lacey et Hayley Cossette; fils Roger (Shannon) Cossette, petits-fils Mathieu (Roxanne) Cossette, Joël et Nathan Cossette; fils Vincent (Liza) Cossette, et petites filles Alika et Josiane. Frères et sœurs Simone Chevrier, Jules Bouvier, Aimé Bouvier, Carmelle Chevrier, Jean-Paul Bouvier, Fernande Pisio, Luc Bouvier, Ronald Bouvier, Guy Bouvier et Irène Abraham.
Elle est prédécédée par ses parents Paul et Alma (née Lacroix) Bouvier, frères Albert Bouvier, Luc Bouvier et Donat Bouvier, sœurs Berthe Leduc, Annette Bouvier et Ida Bouvier.
Les prière ont eu lieu le Dimanche 6 avril et le service funéraire le lundi 7 avril à 15h avec Monseigneur Donald Bolen. Élise (née Bouvier) Cossette
Elle laisse également dans le deuil plusieurs amies qui qui l’ont soutenue pendant sa maladie.
