Obituary of Mary Kruger

Mary of Gravelbourg, SK passed away on April 23, 2014, at the age of 96 years. She was born on the family farm in the St. Boswell district, to Frank and Vida (nee Copeland) Telfer. She attended school at St. Boswell, and then Normal School in Moose Jaw, SK. Mary taught in various communities throughout Saskatchewan. She married Henry Kruger on October 24, 1946. They were blessed with two children, Ken and Donna. They farmed in the Hodgeville district for many years, and retired to Regina in 1976. Henry passed away in 1982. With failing health, Mary returned to Gravelbourg and resided in the Villa for over 24 years. In 2012, she moved to the Foyer d’Youville. Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life, and she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son Ken (Darlene) Kruger; granddaughter Jill (Ray) Wiebe, great grandchildren Ashley, Jasmine; granddaughter Karen (Marco) Funk; grandson Brent (Allison) Kruger; daughter Donna (Mark) Gosselin; granddaughter Dawn (Matt) Kjarsgaard, great grandchildren Baden, Joshua, Callie; granddaughter Lori (Chris) Unger, great grandchildren Jackson, Kai; grandson Richard Gosselin (Melanie Potie), great grandchildren Ryan, Jonathan, Alex, Maéva. She is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Vida (nee Copeland) Telfer; brother Owen (Chris) Telfer; sisters Evelyn Telfer, Lillian Telfer, Muriel Burk. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Gravelbourg, SK.
