Obituary of Anna Marie SCHMIDT

Anna Marie Schmidt of Gravelbourg, SK, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013, at the age of 82 years. Annie was born on June 18, 1930, to parents Jacob and Louise (nee Gerber) Schmidt. Annie was a long time resident of Gravelbourg, SK, and took pleasure in playing Bingo, cards and gardening. She always had a dog, and enjoyed the companionship she received from her pet. Annie will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Annie is survived by her family, godson Sandy Blue and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Jacob and Louise (nee Gerber) Schmidt; siblings Harold Schmidt, Ernie Schmidt, Siegfred Schmidt, Jackie Schmidt, Andy Schmidt, Henry Schmidt, Gus Schmidt, Kay Lugren, Carol Plett, Emily Twardy, Jean Pagens and Frieda Blue. Funeral Service was held on Friday, May 10, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Gravelbourg, SK, with Pastor Arden Barden officiant. Special hymns included Just As I Am, Abide With Me, How Great Thou Art and God Be With You ‘Til We Meet Again. Interment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Annie to St. Joseph Hospital/Foyer d’Youville Foundation, Box 810, Gravelbourg, SK S0H 1X0, were greatly appreciated.
