Obituary of Carol SANDOR
Carol June Sandor passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the age of 77 years. Carol and her twin sister Karen were born at Kincaid, SK on June 3, 1937 to Dick and Magdalen Anderson of McCord, SK. On October 29, 1954, she married Ernest Sandor in McCord, and they were blessed with six children who they raised on Ernest’s grandfather’s farm north of Glentworth on SW 25-06-06. She encouraged each of them to pursue the things they loved, proudly attending sporting events, pageants and art shows, and displaying photos and mementos of all of them. Carol enjoyed being a part of the Glentworth community, and was involved in many activities. She also loved the time her family spent every summer at Thomson Lake, where they too eventually
retired in 1999. There they enjoyed gardening, fishing, entertaining their grandchildren and making many new friends. Predeceased by her husband Ernest Sandor (1999); grandson Bradley Sandor; son-in-law Cam Ballagh; parents Dick and Magdalen (nee Theis) Anderson; siblings Leonard Anderson and Karen Blake. Carol will be lovingly
remembered by her children Rick (Donna) Sandor, and grandchildren Devin (Amanda), Kyla, Jared (Pam) and Joel; Bill (Marilyn) Sandor, and grandchildren Kent and Warren (Savannah); Larry (Barbara) Sandor; Brenda Ballagh, and grandchildren Steven (Damara) Thomas and Clayton Thomas; Sandra (Calvin) Knoss, and grandchildren Brett and Hayley; Monty Sandor; two great grandsons Luke and Harrison; siblings Donna (Bill) Stewart, Clayton (Jean) Anderson, Garry (Lynda) Anderson; and several extended family members. The family wishes to thank the staff at Lafleche & District Health Centre for the excellent care Carol received. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at the Glentworth United Church, Glentworth, SK, with Reverend Mathias Ross officiant. The eulogy was shared by Hayley Knoss and Warren Sandor. Pianist was Dianne Falconer. Interment took place at St. Marcel’s Cemetery, Glentworth, SK.
