Charles Arthur Binner of Moose Jaw, SK and formerly Ardill, SK, passed away on April 11, 2015, at the age of 89 years. Charlie was born on July 17, 1925 in Ardill. He was the third of 5 boys born to Henry and Mabel (nee Osborne) Binner. Charlie attended the local school until grade 10, when he began farming full time. Charlie married Jean Smith on May 19, 1962, and they were blessed with three children, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Charlie and Jean lived on the farm until they retired to Mossbank, and in 2005 they moved to Moose Jaw. Charlie loved playing sports, especially baseball and hockey. He also coached both sports, and all who played on Charlie’s teams benefitted from his coaching and the life lessons that he taught. Charlie loved his community, and was always available to help his friends and neighbours. He was a hard worker, and cared deeply for his family and friends.
