Obituary of Anna Hoag

Anna Hoag of Bengough, SK passed away on June 14, 2015, at the age of 94 years. Anna was born on January 7, 1921, at Halbrite, SK. She was the youngest of seven children born to Harold and Mathea (nee Bratlien) Haugen. She married Stuart Hoag and they were blessed with four children. They lived on a farm near Hardy, SK and moved to Bengough in 1948. Anna loved to play cards and curl, and was a big fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Saskatchewan Roughriders. Anna enjoyed baking, especially at Christmas, and preparing her Norwegian dishes. Anna is dearly missed by her loving family, daughter Ilene (Peter); son Allan (Joanne); son Dale (Jeanne); son-in-law Andy; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Mathea (nee Bratlien) Haugen; husband Stuart; daughter Carol; grandson Chad; great granddaughter Ashley; sisters Anna, Mabel, Olga; brothers Edwin, Harvey and Julius. Graveside Funeral Service was held on Friday, June 19, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., at the Bengough Cemetery, Bengough, SK. Officiant was Kathy Gudnason. Music was shared by Marc Giraudier and Grant Giraudier. Urn bearers were Ilene, Allan and Dale. Memorial donations in memory of Anna to the Bengough Health Centre, Box 399, Bengough, SK S0C 0K0, were greatly appreciated.
