Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Guy Dauphinais. I very much appreciated knowing and working with him when I practiced law in Moose Jaw. In Saskatchewan his dedication to his community is noted with pride.

My sincere condolences to the Guy Dauphinais family on the passing of a dear husband, father and grandfather.
I am a second cousin to Guy. We first met at the UofS in Saskatoon, St. Thomas More College.He was studying law and I was in education. We got to know each other over time at the college or at the library. However, our professions took us on different paths and we never saw each other after that. I did however meet Gilles a few times when he was manager of XcessCargo and I did enquire about Guy.I am originally from Willow Bunch where Guy's parents settled. They lived about half a mile from my parent's homestead.My father's family talked a lot about Alec Dauphinais and his family. I never knew them as they moved away before I was born. My aunt Rita,95 years old, still remembers the family.You can still see the remnants of the house foundation.
I will be offering a mass for the repose of Guy's soul and will let you know when and where it is celebrated in case you may wish to attend.
Please be assured of my prayers for the repose of the soul of Guy and for you and your whole family during this time.

So sorry to hear . Guy was my best friend growing up. We had a lot of good times..I have lots of stories I tell my grand kids of the fun we had. Smoking out a skunk. Bike ride to Regina. The time he shot a bb gun out of my hand. That was as good as Roy Rogers..hide and seek raiding gardens..12 years old we would shoot rabbits with borrowed 22's on the river and sell them to Weyburn Hide and fur for 10 cents. We drowned out gophers and made a sientific discovery. A dog can eat nine gophers.We were alter boys and would check the wine to see if it was getting stale.Every kid should have a friend like Guy. I regret not stoping to see him last year when We were in Regina. Goes to show " don't travel hundreds of miles to my funeral. See me when I'm alive.". He will be missed by everyone who knew him.God bless him. He was a good man. Harold
