Darlene was born January 15, 1941 in Kincaid, Saskatchewan to Paul and Gladys Keller. The family moved to St. Paul , Minnesota in 1948 where she attended school and graduated in 1959. At the age of 18 Darlene returned to Canada where she lived with her Aunt Florence Rambow in Hodgeville Saskatchewan. There she worked as a nurse at the Hodgeville Hospital. Shortly after her return, she met Elmer Haubrich and in October of 1959 they were married. Together they farmed the home place south of Hodgeville and raised their four children. She always has a special place in her Heart for animals, especially dogs. Darlene loved her dancing and music, especially Elvis and the Old Time Saturday Night Dance Party on the radio. She spent many many hours baking, cooking, canning and gardening. In 1976 the family moved to Hodgeville and operated the farm from town. Darlene worked at the Hodgeville Hotel and the Co-op grocery store, and was also a member of The Hodgeville Royal Purple. In January of this year, Darlene was admitted to the Herbert Hospital where she spent 3 months and then was unable to reside at her home in Hodgeville, so she moved to the Herbert Heritage Manor where she spent the last five months. The Family would like to extend a "Sincere Thank You" to Dr. Kassett and the Herbert Hospital Staff and Herbert Heritage Manor Staff for all the wonderful care their Mom received. Also a "Special Thank You" to Brad Bodnarchuk for Officiating Moms Celebration Of Life. Darlene's humour and wit will be missed by all that knew her.
