Obituary of Rob Heidt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robbie Gordon Heidt of Regina, SK. Rob was born on February 11, 1969, in Mankota, SK., and passed away unexpectedly due to cardiac arrest on October 3, 2016, at the Regina General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Laura and Valentine Heidt and brother, Larry. Rob is survived by his daughter, Sarah Heidt; granddaughter, Nadia; and siblings, Bruce, Rene (Nina), Cecile (Mario) Rainville, Albert and Bernice; along with many nieces and nephews. Although Rob was the youngest of seven, he was a true "big brother” to many. Words cannot express the impact that Rob had on others during his lifetime. Throughout Rob’s numerous jobs there has always been a common thread of supporting and advocating for children and youth "in need". His passion to help others was very evident outside of his work life as well. Rob will truly be missed by all that were fortunate enough to get to know him. He leaves us all with a tremendous hole in our hearts, but will live on forever in our thoughts and prayers. In celebration of Rob’s life and spirit we invite you to attend Prayers on Monday, October 10, 2016, at 7 p.m., and the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at 5 p.m., both from Holy Rosary Cathedral 3125 - 13th Ave., Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations are made to the Greystone Bereavement Centre or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
