I would like to express my condolences to Barry's family, I just now found out of his passing.
He was a great friend to my late husband, Ron Johnson, and I got to know Barry and Sue thru Ron. Again I am so sorry for being late on this and my thoughts and prayers go out to Sue and Brenda's families.

Just reading tonight about the passing of our cousin, Barry (also my brother's name). Our Dad, John Boghean, deceased in April 2012, thought so highly of "Uncle Nick" ....now they're all in heaven ahead of us. Our sincere condolences to you. Too young. Love and prayers to your Family. Great Family reunions await us!

I would like to express my condolences to all of Barry's family. I came to know Barry when he hired me to do the field agronomy work at Redcoat Feeders. I learned what a passionate cattleman, family man, rodeo fan and business man Barry was. We grew to be good friends and I will dearly miss him. In recent years he would call me and we would end up at Wongs in Swift for some Chinese food where we would joke about who would buy lunch each time. He liked to talk about his boys and how they were doing in their forest fire fighting and how they had done in life and how proud he was of them. I will never forget how he was not bothered about how others may have thought the feedlot should be run. He ran it with good wholesome thoughts and plans for livestock health and was unwavering when others challenged his thoughts. He impressed upon me the importance of using good judgement in management in each and every decision we make. I am sorry for your loss. He was a great friend. I will dearly miss him. God bless your family in this time of grief. You have lost a great man and friend.

Barry was a world class gopher shooter. I met Barry at the second annual Hazenmore Gopher Derby. Organized by Barry for fun, fellowship and to help the farmers and ranchers of the area with the plague of gophers in those days. We became friends and an annual hunt with Barry hosting was enjoyed by myself and friends from Alberta and Nova Scotia and Cheyenne, Wyoming (Chris Heddins) Barry was an excellent host and a wonderful man. He will be missed.

The roping world has lost a true lover of our sport, Barry knew everything about us. Never a negative word, always the best cheerleader leader and a valued member of the cowboy world. Barry was so thoughtful at the McCord Rodeo a few years ago, we had just lost our dad Norm Roy, Barry ever the gentleman and with the utmost respect held a moment of silence to pay tribute. Tonight as we hear of Barry's passing we too have a moment of silence knowing our lives and the roping arena are forever changed.
Thoughts and prayers,
Darcy and Chrissy

Barry was a wonderful man to work and travel with. Over the years we had many fun times working team ropings together. He always had a smile, a good laugh and fun line and worked very hard to make the ropings shine. He will be greatly missed, but forever in many hearts.

Sue my heart is breaking for you today. Barry always amazed me with how much he always knew about us and our horses. I vividly remember how when I was having a particularly bad run on a seasoned horse of mine, I heard him tell the crowd that I was on a colt and "that kind of thing happened with youngsters". He knew exactly who I was riding! We had a good laugh after the rodeo but I have NEVER forgotten the kindness. I won't be able to be there Monday but I'll send you my heart. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. Love always, Di.
