Obituary of Julie O'Reilly

Juliet O’Reilly (nee Legault) Juliet (Julie) Blanche Marie O’Reilly passed away peacefully at Moose Jaw, SK, on Monday, April 17, 2017. Julie was born in Radville on May 10, 1932, the second of five children born to Arthur and Rose Alma (Durand) Legault. She was a graduate of St. Oliver School in Radville (1950). Julie was employed as bookkeeper at Roy’s Sales and Services in Radville before moving to Regina, where she worked for the Government of Saskatchewan from 1951 to 1957. She then relocated to St. Victor and was employed at the Family Life Insurance Company. Julie married Larry O’Reilly on June 24, 1957. They settled on a mixed farm in the R.M. of Willow Bunch #42 three miles east of Scout Lake, where they raised their five children. In 1987, they retired and enjoyed life at Thompson Lake for a few years, before moving full time to Moose Jaw. Julie is survived by her son Daniel, grandson Darren, great granddaughter Amelia; daughter Rosanne (Lyle) Torgerson, granddaughter Christine (Shaun) Hoffman, great grandchildren Dagan, Carter, Stella, step granddaughter Janelle (Yuliya) Torgerson, great granddaughter Ellie, step grandson Darcy (Amy) Torgerson; daughter Pauline (Darrell) Bistritzan, granddaughter Kimberley, grandson Matthew; brother Roger (Noella) Legault and numerous nieces and nephews. Julie is predeceased by her parents Arthur (1946) and Rose Alma (1984) Legault; step father Maurice Carles (1986); her husband Larry (2012); sons Robert (1986), Paul (1979); brothers Jules Legault (1999), Lionel Legault (2013) and sister Terry Westlake (2015). Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, April 24, 2017 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Moose Jaw, SK, at 2:00 p.m. Interment at St. Victor Cemetery. Memorial donations in Julie's memory to the Five Hills Health Region Palliative Program, Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer Society and mass intentions were greatly appreciated.
