Obituary of Bud Romansky

Borden 'Bud' Michael Romansky age 86 of Mankota, Saskatchewan passed away in Regina, Saskatchewan on December 16th/2017 at 10:00 A.M. surrounded by family. Bud will be lovingly remembered by his son Wes and grandson Derek and his mom Barb. Daughter Jackie (Dave Zilkie) granddaughters Janelle, Kristen & Lindsey. Daughter Mickie, granddaughters Stephanie (Charlie Armstrong) & Jade (Tyler Fischer). His partner Sylvia Dixon, sister Elizabeth Tataryn, & his 5 great-grandchildren Avery, Karsyn, Logan, Bentley & Hunter as well as numerous extended friends and family. Borden Michael Romansky was born June 25th, 1931 near Fir Mountain, NW 10-5-5 to Mike and Annie Romanchych. He went to Winston School, 3 ½ miles north of the family farm and later completed high school in Fir Mountain. Bud was active in baseball, hockey, curling, and bowling as well as officiating on many boards and organizations. He was well recognized as an umpire and his musical talents. At a very young age, Bud joined the Romansky Brothers Band with his three uncles and played many years with various musicians including The Southern Four. Bud was a farmer and a bulk oil distributor for 22 years. Bud lived in Fir Mountain for 42 years, later residing in Mankota and Maple Creek. A celebration of Bud’s life will be held on Friday, December 22/2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Fir Mountain Community Hall. Interment Mountain View Cemetery. Lunch to follow.
