Obituary of Louise Pereux

Louise Pauline Pereux (nee Bourgeois) passed away at the Foyer d’Youville, Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan on March 18, 2018, at the age of 76 years. She was born on June 21, 1941, in Gravelbourg. She was the twelfth and youngest child born to Delphine and Aimé Bourgeois. Louise attended and graduated from the Convent Jesus Marie in Gravelbourg. Not long after graduating she married Denis Pereux of Pine Falls, Manitoba. They had two sons, Ron and later Kelly. She loved her sons dearly and was very proud of them. She was delighted when her sons had gotten married and blessed her with four grandchildren, two from each marriage. She loved to receive letters and photos of her grandchildren. Louise always had a very distinctive laugh and a sense of humour. She was very proud of her appearance and liked to look good. She was beautiful inside and out. Louise kept her house spotless, and she was a great cook; especially her delicious home-made soup and stews. She always enjoyed her close friends and liked to go out with them. Early in her married life, Louise experienced health issues. Delphine and Aimé welcomed her back to the family home on numerous occasions to try to help her out. Unfortunately, her health issues persisted and she moved back permanently to Gravelbourg. Louise moved to the Foyer in her early sixties. She felt safe there and received the care and kindness from staff for many years until her passing. Louise is survived by her family: son Ron Pereux, grandson Jaden, granddaughter Sara; son Kelly Pereux, grandsons Madison, Noah; sisters Bernadette Tremblay, Marie McDougal; brothers Raoul (Rose) Bourgeois and Raymond (Dawn) Bourgeois; sisterin- law Annette Bourgeois; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents: Aimé and Delphine (née Bachand) Bourgeois; sisters Madeleine, Colette, Hélène, Jeanne D’Arc, Lucienne; brothers Lionel, Jérémie. Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., Foyer d’Youville Chapel with Father Maurice Minne celebrant. The eulogy was shared by Suzanne Fournier. Readers were Leo Tremblay and Robert Bourgeois. Prayers of the Faithful were read by Laurie Bourgeois. André Moquin was the soloist and was accompanied by Leona Bourgeois. Urn Bearer was Kelly Pereux. Honorary Pallbearers were "All those who shared in Louise’s life.” Family interment Gravelbourg Roman Catholic Cemetery.
