Obituary of Joyce Fehr

Joyce Marcella Fehr (nee Sabo) of Hodgeville, SK passed away on May 13, 2018, at the age of 89. Joyce was born September 10, 1928, in Meyronne, SK. She was raised on a farm south of Hazenmore, SK and attended school in Westwood Valley. After Grade 10, Joyce worked as a nurse’s aide at the Kincaid Hospital. On February 13, 1949, Joyce and Wilf were married in Kincaid, SK. They lived in Peebles, SK, where Wilf was employed as a mechanic. They later moved to Weyburn then settled in Hodgeville in 1959. In 1960, they started building their home, where Joyce resided in until March of 2018, just two months before she passed. Joyce loved to play cards and was involved with the CWL, Church, seniors group, and the Royal Purple. She loved the Community Center and always looked forward to and enjoyed the senior’s suppers and playing Nap. Joyce loved more than anything having all of her family home on Sundays and holidays for her home cooked meals and quality family time. Joyce is predeceased by her husband Wilf Fehr; son Nelson Fehr; granddaughter Naomi Stenhouse; grandsons Brent Stenhouse, Brad Stenhouse, Dustin Hewer; parents John and Minnie (nee Linstad) Sabo; sisters Irene, Mabel, Florence, Ruby, Luella; brothers Marvin, Orville, Gordon; as well as several nieces and nephews. Joyce leaves to mourn her daughter Linda (Don) Stenhouse, grandson Ryan; son Larry (Connie) Fehr, granddaughters Cara (Russ) Harper, Lindsay (Darcy) Vedress; son Tom Fehr; son John Fehr (Kate Neufeld), granddaughter Brittany (Brian) Johnston; son Bruce Fehr, granddaughter Gabrielle Fehr; son Mitchell (Jolene) Fehr, grandsons Brenden, Beau, Brock, Brent Fehr, granddaughters Shanese and Jillian Fehr; son Boyd Fehr; daughter Susan (Bruce) Mouland, granddaughters Sydney and Kelsey Mouland, grandson Zachary Mouland; son Daren Fehr (Morene Hewer), granddaughter Kay-Leigh Hewer; 14 great grandchildren Dustin, Alyssa, Brianne, Kyla Stenhouse, Gordon and Mikah Stenhouse, Tyson and Berkley Stenhouse, Tryton, Brady & Jayce Harper, Levi and Jorja Vedress, and Adler Mouland; two great-great grandchildren Seth and Marley; sister Elaine (Mel) Cupples; sister-in-law Dolores Fehr; and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, 3:30 p.m., at the Hodgeville Community Centre.
