I am truly sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. I hope the Palmer family find comfort and strength in Jesus promise along with our heavenly father Jehovah of the earthly resurrection, where death will be eliminated forever. Truly, what a glorious and almost unbelievable day that will be! It's a reality though for God cannot lie!

Rodney's Craving for Saskatoon Pie

As long as I can remember when we visited him at the farm we'd spend the evening getting us up to date on the latest news of the neighborhood and relatives while he was getting the latest details of our lives followed by a lunch of toast, jam, cookies and tea. If you ever needed help with a project he was more then ready to come over to help and never asked for anything in return. One summer afternoon while Rodney was visiting me down at the shop, Shirlie came down to shop and informed him she had a slice of his favorite pie for him. It wasn't long after that he said he had to go and went up to the house for his slice of pie.Shirlie invited him in for slice of pie Rodney asked where the pie was, Shirlie showed him the pie, he took it, thanked her and left for home with the whole pie in hand. Shirlie stood in shock WHAT JUST HAPPENED? no Saskatoon pie for us that evening. We can stil imaging him sitting at his table with a quarter slice of pie topped with a mountain of vanilla ice cream smacking his lips as he devoured it with enthusiasm.

Awe, Rodney, he was so supportive of our Palmer ladies community teas and we always had a good visit! He was a quiet private man, one of our pioneers and trailblazers. The changes he lived through! Rest In Peace Rodney!
