Obituary of Madeleine Taillon

Madeleine Elizabeth Taillon (nee Deshaye) of Saskatoon, SK and formerly from Assiniboia, SK, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2018, at the age of 92 years, with family at her side. Madeleine was born on July 21, 1926, in St. Victor, SK, to Jean and Christine (nee Boisvert) Deshaye. She attended primary school in Willow Bunch and high school in Lafleche. In 1945, Madeleine began working as a clerk and bookkeeper at McAdams Jewellery Store in Assiniboia. Madeleine met Rodrigue Taillon in Assiniboia, and they were married on August 6, 1952. They were blessed with five boys Gerald, Paul, Michel, Marc, and Mario. They made their home in Willow Bunch, where Rod established his dental practice. In 1955, the family moved to Assiniboia when Rod purchased Dr. Richard Brown’s practice. Madeleine and Rod moved to Saskatoon in 2008. Madeleine enjoyed travelling with Rod to many different countries and spending time with family at their cottage on Katepwa Lake. Madeleine was a member of St. George’s CWL and enjoyed knitting, bike riding, and family gatherings. Family meant everything to her, and she was the foundation and the heart of our home. Madeleine is predeceased by her husband of 63 years Rodrigue Taillon (2015). She will be dearly missed by her loving family, son Gerald (Connie) Taillon, granddaughter Christine (Brad) Adams, great grandchildren Jasmine and Elijah, granddaughter Anita (Kyle) Broussard, great grandchildren Madeleine and Mac, grandson Jean-Paul (Jessie) Taillon, great grandchildren Brielle and Cosette, son Paul (Lynda) Taillon, grandson Dominique (Rhonda) Taillon, great grandchildren Jonathan and Juliette, granddaughter Nicole Taillon (Derek), great grandson Jacob, grandson Daniel (Kristel) Taillon, son Michel (Monique) Taillon, grandson David (Melanie) Taillon, great granddaughter Breanna, grandson Marc Taillon, granddaughter Lynne Taillon, son Marc (Marianne) Taillon, grandson Paul (Charlotte) Taillon, great grandchildren Julie, Lucie, Geneviève and Celeste, grandson Stéphane (Taylor) Taillon, grandson Jonas Taillon, grandson Mischa Taillon, son Mario Taillon, grandson Joel Taillon, grandson Justin Taillon, grandson Matthieu Taillon. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Berwyn Larson and his staff for their years of exceptional medical care as well as acknowledge the care provided by St. Paul’s Hospital, Trinity Manor and Daily Living Personal Care in Saskatoon. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 18, 2018, 10:30 a.m., at Holy Spirit Parish, 114 Kingsmere Place, Saskatoon, SK. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Saskatoon, SK.
