Obituary of Patricia Bishop

Patricia Florence Bishop of Gravelbourg, SK passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at the age of 79 years. Patricia was born on October 27, 1939, in Saskatoon, SK. She was the third daughter of Walter and Annie (nee McFarlane) Powers. Patricia attended elementary school in Saskatoon and Macrorie High School. She then obtained her GED and took a bookkeeping course at the SIAST Kelsey Campus in Saskatoon. Growing up, Patricia enjoyed horseback riding, playing baseball, and square dancing. She married Thomas Kyle on October 27, 1956, and they were blessed with five children. Thomas and Patricia later divorced. On February 3, 1984, Patricia married Dewayne Bishop in Winnipeg, MB. Patricia was an excellent bookkeeper, loved reading, crosswords, jumbles, knitting, and scrapbooking. She enjoyed travelling, especially to Hawaii, was a Saskatchewan Roughriders fan, and was especially fond of wolves. Patricia loved her children dearly, and treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Patricia is survived by her daughter Karen Kyle (Randy); daughter Kathy (Barry) Burke; daughter Karmon (Lucien) Sicotte; son Kip (Wanita) Kyle; grandchildren Rory (Celeste), Jason (Kennen), Ryan (Shayna), Kris (Ashley), Erin, Lindsay (Michael), Stacy (Vitus), Courtney (Trevor), Randi (John), Patrick (Myzelle), and Eric; 21 great grandchildren; sister Verda Dalman; and brother Rick (Phyllis) Powers. She was predeceased by her husband Dewayne Bishop; son Kenneth Kyle; parents Walter and Annie (nee McFarlane) Powers; and sister Eva Street. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019, 2:00 p.m., at the Gravelbourg Parish Hall. Private family interment will take place at the Gravelbourg Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Patricia may be made to the Foyer d’Youville Foundation for the Activity Club, Box 810, Gravelbourg, SK S0H 1X0.
