Obituary of Brett CONNORS

Brett Ashley Connors of Lafleche, SK, departed this life accidentally on August 23, 2013, near Thomson Lake, SK, at the age of 50 years. He was born on January 24, 1963, to parents Leonard and Sandra (nee Wynia) Connors. Brett, a beloved father, husband, brother, cousin, nephew and friend to many is survived by his sons, Steven & Nicholas; his wife, Rosalie; brothers, Scott (Dianne), Mark (Margaret), Chad (Lynne), Blane (Shelley); his sister, Jami Rommelaere (Bruce), nieces, nephews, and in laws. He has been reunited with those who predeceased him; his infant son, Allen Dale, his parents, Leonard & Sandra, his niece, Morgan and good friend Dale. His sons were his pride & joy; they spent many hours together in the garage tinkering, fixing, tweaking motorbikes, snowmobiles, cars, trucks, etc. Porky was an avid Roughrider fan, on game day he was sure to be wearing his old torn Rider shorts and sweatshirt, cheering on his team while sitting on his "cheap” seats at the lake. He was fortunate to attend the Western semi-final, final and Grey Cup in 1989. He also hosted the best Grey Cup Party ever in 2007. He lost about 5 pounds of hair that day. For many years Porky dreamed of owning a Harley Davidson…last year that dream came true. He loved to cruise on his bike. Tragically we lost him while he was living his dream. Cruise on Dad, Brother, Friend, Porky…..you live forever in our hearts and in our fond memories of you. Guessy. Funeral Service was held on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at Ste Radegonde Roman Catholic Church, Lafleche, SK, with Reverend Linda Tomlinson-Seebach officiant. The eulogy was shared by Paul Lorrain. Active pallbearers were Scott Connors, Mark Connors, Chad Connors, Blane Connors, Ryan Connors and Wendell Neubeker. Interment took place at the Lafleche Municipal Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Brett to the Canadian Diabetes association, 917 Albert St., Regina, SK S4R 2P6.
