Obituary of Norman Jean Pinsonneault

It is with deepest sadness that we announce on Wed., Feb. 22, 2012, Mr. Norman Pinsonneault, of the Gravelbourg, Sask. district died in an avalanche near Cooke City, Montana. Without a doubt, his greatest love was for his wife and children. Norman was a kind and caring husband and father. He loved his life on the farm, constantly working hard to improve his farming methods. He was organized and very meticulous in everything he did. Once work was completed properly, then it was time for having fun. Norman enjoyed sports, travelling, camping, snowmobiling and spending time with family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humour. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Clara (nee Tetrault) Pinsonneault; brother Guy Pinsonneault; brother-in-law Normand Girardin. Norman is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years Paula (nee Bourgeois), cherished children, son Réjean and daughter Josée, all of Gravelbourg; sister Joanne (Mervin) Finell of Ponteix; mother-in-law Laurette Bourgeois of Gravelbourg; father-in-law Jeremie Bourgeois of Moose Jaw; brothers-in-law Robert (Nicole) of Gravelbourg and Roland (Lynn) of Regina; sisters-in-law Lise (Fudd) Erfle of Medicine Hat, Alta., Margo of Gravelbourg, Paulette Pinsonneault-Hawkins (Sam) of Gravelbourg; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Co-Cathedral, Gravelbourg, SK, with Father Juanito Vargas celebrant. Urn bearers were Joanne Girardin and Gaëtan Girardin. Cross bearer was André Pinsonneault. Readers were Danielle Stephany and Lynne Girardin. Prayers of intention were given by Danielle Dion and Rachelle Erfle. Offertory gifts were presented by Paulette Hawkins and Sam Hawkins. Soloist Henri Lepage was accompanied by organist Leona Bourgeois. The eulogy was shared by François Pinsonneault and Clayton Wilson. Interment took place at the Gravelbourg Roman Catholic Cemetery. Memorial tributes in memory of Norman to the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, Box 810, Gravelbourg, SK S0H 1X0, were greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Piché-Hawkins-Grondin Funeral Chapels, Assiniboia & Gravelbourg.
