Obituary of Laurent O'Reilly

Larry passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 82. Larry is survived by his loving wife Julie (nee Legault) O’Reilly; son Daniel O’Reilly, grandson Darren O’Reilly; daughter Rosanne (Lyle) Torgerson, granddaughter Christine (Shaun) Hoffman, great grandchildren Dagan, Carter, Stella, grandchildren Janelle Torgerson, Darcy (Amy) Torgerson; daughter Pauline Osemlak, grandchildren Kimberley Osemlak, Matt Osemlak; brothers Gilles (Jeanne), Andre (Doris), Gerald (Irene), Roger (Pauline), Guy (Diane), Henri (Aline); sisters Marthe Wolensky, Sister Berthe, Jeanine (Noel) Blanchette; sister-in-law Doris O’Reilly (Leo); and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sons Robert O’Reilly (1986) and Paul O’Reilly (1979); parents William and Therese (nee Beauregard) O’Reilly ; brother Leo O’Reilly; brother-in-law Roger Wolensky; nephew Michael O’Reilly (Guy). Larry was born in Lisieux, SK on November 10, 1929, the second of eleven children born to William and Therese (nee Beauregard) O’Reilly. He attended Maisoneuve country school and Gravelbourg College. He graduated with a diploma in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan in 1953. Larry and Julie married on June 24, 1957 and settled on a mixed farm in the Scout Lake area. They retired to their condo in Moose Jaw, SK in 1997. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Moose Jaw, SK with Father Rick Krofchek celebrant. Readers were Richard Blanchette and Dan Prefontaine. Intercessions were shared by Richard O’Reilly. Gift bearers were Christine Hoffman, Kimberley Osemlak, Matthew Osemlak and Darren O’Reilly. Active pallbearers were Denis O’Reilly, Michael Legault, Robert Wolensky, Michael O’Reilly, Bob Westlake and Maurice O’Reilly. The eulogy was shared by Sue Heuman. Honor guard was formed by the Knights of Columbus.
