Obituary of Robert James FAUSER

Robert James Fauser passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at the age of 58 years. Bob was the second son of Theodore and Ruth (nee Bender) Fauser, Don being the eldest son. He was born on February 23, 1954 in Lafleche, SK. Bob lost his father Ted suddenly when he was a toddler. Ruth married Elmer Fauser, Ted’s brother, and they had four more children together: Shelley, Cindy, Cheryl and Garry. Together they lived and farmed north of Woodrow. Elmer passed away suddenly when Bob was in his early teens and Bob, along with his brother Don, took over the farm. In later years his mother Ruth married Orville Tallon, and their happiness was a great source of comfort to the entire family. Bob took Grades I-VIII in Woodrow and he completed his schooling at Lafleche Central School. Bob married Clara Choma on May 19, 1973 and they continued to farm together. They would have celebrated their 40th anniversary next year. Together they had four children, Jackie, Jody, Jill and Ted and were blessed with eleven grandchildren. Bob’s pride and joy was his grandkids. Bob loved watching his grandchildren or hearing about their sports and adventures. Family was important to Bob and meant the world to him. In 2001, Bob and Clara moved into their current home at Thomson Lake. They thoroughly enjoyed their life at the lake, and were looking forward to many more years there together. In recent years, Bob kept busy operating and managing a hay brokering business, transporting gravel and grain, and also farming. He enjoyed this line of work as he loved to drive and always had time for coffee and a visit. Bob was a respected and smart man that had a light hearted, shoot the breeze kind of way. He was a man that made sure that his family and friends were taken care of. Bob will be loved and cherished in the memories of his family and friends forever. Bob is survived by his loving wife Clara Fauser (nee Choma); daughter Jackie (Boyd) Ellis; daughter Jody (Kory) Packet; daughter Jill (Dave) Starke; son Ted (Joanne) Fauser; grandchildren Jamie, Garrett and Zachary Ellis, Tucker and Weston Packet, Brady, Fletcher, Jake and Tyson Starke, Mason and Jacey Fauser; mother Ruth Fauser (nee Bender); siblings Donald (Delores) Fauser, Shelley (Arthur) Hughes, Cindy (Garth) Sproule, Cheryl Crooks, Gary (Bridget) Fauser; mother-in-law Muriel Choma; brothers-in-law Jerry (Glenna) Choma, Perry (Eugene) Choma; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his fathers Theodore Fauser and Elmer Fauser; step-father Orville Tallon; baby grandson Robert Grant Ellis; brother-in-law Clinton Crooks; father-in-law Josef Choma; sister-in-law Liz Choma. Funeral Service was held on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., at the Wood River Memorial Hall, Lafleche, SK. Officiant was his cousin, Darwin Biffart. The eulogy was shared by Jackie, Jody, Jill and Ted. Urn bearers were Clara and Ted. Reading by Kara Fauser. Honorary pallbearers were "All those who shared in Bob’s life.” Interment took place at the Woodrow Mennonite Cemetery, where Bob was buried with his Dads.
