As a young man Norm made his way to Alberta, trying his hand at several careers; this is where he met Betty Merriam, and they were married on May 16, 1959. While in Alberta, Norm and Betty had 3 boys, Darcy, Darby and Davey. Soon they made their way back to the farm near Glentworth, where they remained for over 40 years. Norm and Betty also drove school bus for 25 years. Norm and the boys were involved in team roping and rodeo, and he also coached their hockey and baseball teams. Norm took pride in his farm, respected and loved the land, and cherished his animals. Norm was a dedicated family man and he was always there for comfort, support and love.
