Obituary of Louis Rodrigue NOGUE

Joseph Louis Rodrigue Nogue of Gravelbourg, Sask., passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012, at the age of 76. Louis, son of Jean-Baptiste and Carmel (née Raymond) Nogue, was born on March 15, 1936, on the family farm four miles south of McCord. He received all his education in Gravelbourg. Louis married Juliette Rivard on October 29, 1958, in Glentworth, Sask. Louis' love of farming influenced him in his decision to become a farmer. In 2003, Louis and Juliette retired from farming and moved to Gravelbourg, which they felt was the perfect place for their retirement. Louis is survived by his loving family, wife Juliette (née Rivard); son Michel (Jeannette Raiche), grandson Pascal; daughter Nicole (Murray Blake), grandchildren Crystal (Dave) Raymond , Suzanne (Tyler Smyth), Shane (AnnMarie Martin), Josie, great grandson Tristen Raymond; son Claude, grandson Quinton; son Marcel (Karla), grandchildren Gillian, Ethan, Brielle; brothers André (Thérèse), Alain (Marie-Claude Levert), Marc (Yvette); sister Lorraine (Dale Watson). Predeceased by his parents Jean-Baptiste and Carmel; sister Pauline Aussant; and infant brother Michel. Funeral mass was held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Co-Cathedral, Gravelbourg, Sask., with Father Maurice Minne celebrant. The eulogy was shared by Michel Nogue and Crystal Raymond. Cross bearer was Roger Aussant. Altar servers were Lucille Boire and Marie Gensorek. Communion ministers were Fern Bouvier and Claire Levac. Readings were given by Francine Gauthier and Louis Aussant. Prayers of the faithful were shared by André Nogue. Offertory gifts where presented by Marcel, Gillian and Ethan Nogue. Urn bearer was Claude Nogue. Soloist André Moquin was accompanied by organist Leona Bourgeois. Interment took place at the Gravelbourg Roman Catholic Cemetery. Memorial tributes in memory of Louis to the Saskatchewan Parkinson Disease Foundation, Box 102, 103 Hospital Dr., Saskatoon, Sask., S7N 0W8, and St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, Box 810, Gravelbourg, Sask., S0H 1X0, are greatly appreciated.
