Born on the Schubert family farm in Vantage and schooled in Vantage and Mossbank, Betty worked in the bank before starting farming in the Mossbank district in 50’s. There she raised her family, worked the land side by side with her husbands and son until retiring in 1996, tended to her vegetable garden, and groomed the farm yard she and Ed took such pride in. Betty was an avid curler and golfer and even took up skiing in the 70’s. Ed and Betty loved to travel and visited Switzerland, Cancun and the Caribbean before spending the last 25 winters in Yuma, AZ. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Ed; son Carl (Kathy) Singbeil; daughter Diane (Dale) Briske, sister Lucille (William) Singbeil, sister-in-law Pat Schubert, grandchildren Robert (Dana) Singbeil, Corey Singbeil (fiancé Kelsey Bahuaud), Marcus Briske and Lauren Briske; brothers-in law Carl (Barb) Weiss and Harvey (Donna) Weiss and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Donald Singbeil, infant son Lyle Singbeil, parents William and Sylvia Schubert, and brother Howard Schubert. Funeral Service took place on October 7, 2012 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Mossbank, SK, with Pastor Bob Langdon Officiant. Urn bearer was Carl Singbeil. Organist was Edna Stark. Honorary pallbearers were "Everyone in attendance.” Interment followed at the Mossbank Cemetery. The family wishes to thank nurses and staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Gravelbourg and Drs.
