Obituary of Madeline RUST

Madeline Rust of Limerick, SK, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the age of 98 years. Madeline was born on April 2, 1914 in Maxstone, SK, to Gotlieb and Eva (nee Krieg) Feser. She married William Rust on November 6, 1935 and they were blessed with five children. Madeline and William made their home in the Limerick area, and farmed until retiring in 1974. In 1982, they built a new home in Limerick, where Madeline enjoyed gardening and caring for her flowers. Together, Madeline and William enjoyed traveling and attending family gatherings. Madeline will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Madeline is survived by her loving husband of 77 years William Rust; daughter Elaine (Gilbert) Chase; son Francis (Karen) Rust; son Darryl (Pearl) Rust; son Merle (Wanda) Rust; son-in-law Leeland Sand; 13 grandchildren, 27 great grand children and 6 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Dolores Sand (2001); grandsons Graham Rust and Kelly Chase; parents Gotlieb and Eva (nee Krieg) Feser. Funeral Service was held on Monday, March 18, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at the Limerick Community Hall, Limerick, SK, with Reverend Linda Tomlinson-Seebach officiant. The Trinity United Church Choir was accompanied by pianist Gail Mergen. The eulogy was shared by Francis Rust. Active pallbearers were Tory Sand, Grant Chase, Ty Rust, Evan Rust, Jason Sand and Craig Chase. Honorary pallbearers were Shaun Rust, Colleen Anderson, Krista Nishimura, Allan Chase, Jessica Rust, Pamela Meger and Aron Rust. Interment took place at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Limerick, SK. Memorial donations in memory of Madeline to the Trinity United Church, Box 536, Lafleche, SK S0H 2K0, were greatly appreciated.
