Obituary of Lisa Madeline Berger

Lisa passed away suddenly on March 26, 2010 at her home in Lafleche, SK; she was 42 years of age. Lisa was born in Regina, SK on October 28, 1967 at the Pasqua Hospital. Lisa met her true love, John Berger, and they were married on October 18, 2003. She moved to Lafleche and together they created a home surrounded by family and good friends. Lisa spent most of her childhood in Prince Albert, SK. As a child Lisa enjoyed most outdoor activities, swimming, cooking and sewing. She loved sitting around a campfire with family and friends and sharing laughter and many good times. Lisa was an avid sports fan, cheering for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Edmonton Oilers. Lisa had the kindest heart and a warm smile. She always loved to have a good laugh. Lisa always took the time to care for others and leant a hand whenever it was needed. Lisa was the type of person who always put others before herself. Lisa had a special place in her heart and life for her nieces and nephews. She always had time to listen to their stories and see the world from their point of view. A hug, treat and a smile were always waiting at Auntie Lisa’s house. Lisa is survived by her husband John Berger; mother Florence White; sister Debbie White; brother Jason (Erin) White; father and mother-in-law Bob and Stella Berger; brothers-in-law Darrin Kiel, Kenny (Tamara) Berger, Darcy (Lori) Berger; sisters-in-law Linda (Ken) Schniekart, Cherie (Darcy) Kyle and Roxanne (Al) Montays; nine nephews and three nieces; as well as extended family and friends. Lisa was predeceased by her father Cyril White and sister-in-law Ann Kiel. A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Ste Radegonde R.C. Church, Lafleche, SK at 2:00 p.m. with Maurice Palmier officiant. Debbie White was the eulogist. Jason White was the urn bearer. Honorary pallbearers were "All those who shared in Lisa’s life.” Active pallbearers were Trent Henry, Blaine Bandura, Curtis Schniekart, Darcy Berger, Cody White and Kenny Berger. Scripture readings were shared by Vance and Bev Wensel. A special poem was read by Cody and Ashley White. John’s poem to Lisa was read by Jason White. Special music included the song "Don’t Cry Joni.” Memorial tributes in memory of Lisa may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation, Saskatchewan Chapter P.O. Box 309 Saskatoon, SK S7K 3L3. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Piche-Hawkins-Grondin Funeral Chapels, Assiniboia & Gravelbourg.
