Obituary of Roger FOURNIER

With his wife of 53 years by his side, Roger A. Fournier passed away peacefully on October 8th, 2013. Roger will be remembered as the fifth of eight children born to Aristide and Pearl Fournier. He grew up in Ferland and took over his father's business. He was a true entrepreneur and had a successful 43 year career doing what he loved to do. Serve his community and provide for his family. In 1959, Roger married the love of his life, Marina. Roger’s legacy will live on through his four children Diane (Brian) Evanoff, Anita (Dale) Cisecki, Gloria (Phil Daum) Fournier, and Marcel (Paola Basile) Fournier. He will also be fondly remembered as the proud "Pépère” of five grandchildren: Derek (Anjali) Evanoff, Brandon Evanoff and Justin, Breanna and Jordan Cisecki. Also left to cherish Roger’s memory are his sisters Irene Chabot, Rita Lynch, Lucienne Chabot, Marianne (André Lalonde) Fournier and brother Lionel (Hélène) Fournier. Having joined many of his predeceased family and friends, Roger is now sharing in their loving company, laughing, playing pool, cards or even dancing. A celebration of Roger's life was held at 2:00PM on October 18th, 2013 at the Ferland St. Jean Baptiste Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the MS Society (Saskatchewan Chapter) or to the Ferland St. Jean Baptiste Church.
