Obituary of Carmelle Chevrier

Carmelle Chevrier (née Bouvier)

 

On January 9, 2020 Carmelle Chevrier passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital/Foyer d’Youville at the age of 83 years.

 

Carmelle was born March 27, 1936 in Kincaid, SK.  She is one of fourteen children born to Paul and Alma (née Lacroix) Bouvier.

 

Carmelle married Lucien Chevrier December 28, 1954. Recently they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.  Gravelbourg was home for them and their five children.  Carmelle was involved in many community activities from school boards, ceramics, curling, and golfing.

 

 Mom, tous ceux qui ont eu la chance de te connaître savent à quel point tu avais un impact positif sur les gens.  Ton amour pour la vie, ton intelligence remarquable, ton sens d’humour, ta tendresse et surtout ta capacité exemplaire d’aimer lassera un grand vide parmi nous et dans le coeur de tous ceux qui t’aiment. 

 

Carmelle was predeceased by her granddaughter Jaclyn Sparrow ; son-in-law Dennis Reimer ;  siblings Albert, Berthe Leduc, Luc, Ida, Donat, Annette, Simone Chevrier, Jules, Aimé, Joseph, Élise Cossette.

 

 

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family : husband Lucien ; daughter Paulette  (Gary) Sparrow, grandchildren : Ryan (Lindsay) Josh, Lynn ;son Denis  (Jocelyne) Chevrier grandchildren : Janique (Blair) Wilson, Maxim, Arianne, ; greatgrandsons Kierran Wilson, Curtis Wilson ; son Alain  Chevrier ; daughter Lisette (Marc) Freynet, grandsons : Mario, Réjean (Mel), Cédric ; daughter Mona Reimer, grandchildren : Natasha (Brayden), Zachary

siblings : Jean-Paul Bouvier, Fern Pisio ; step siblings : Luc Bouvier, Ronald Bouvier, Guy Bouvier, Leon Bouvier, Irene Abraham.

 

The funeral mass was celebrated Friday January 17, 2020 at Our Lady of the Assumption Co-Cathedral with Father Carlos Jimenez officiating.
