So sorry for your loss. May the assurance of prayers be a comfort to you. How sweet of you to mention, in the obituary, the bouquet of gladioli she received from my grandmother, Mrs Beauregard ... a little piece of history I wasn't aware of.

It was with very heavy hearts when we received the information of dear Auntie Rose’s final journey! God broke our hearts to prove that He only takes the best! And it is with even heavier hearts that we were not able to attend her service due to unforeseen circumstances and timing with our arrival back home in Canada. Louis’ earliest recollections of his Auntie (and Godmother) were always the special presents for Christmas and birthdays and later, long lasting memories of a wonderful lady who he was able to converse with – on any topic – along with her advice of course. “She meant the world to me”. She was always big-hearted, jovial, and a very happy lady with a warm embrace and smile for everyone. Until fairly recently, she had always remembered his birthday and they had many wonderful, informative telephone conversations, rarely in English and most often in French. And she was always so full of pride to have been a Huppe and proudly mentioned it often. “Your memory is my keepsake with which I'll never part God has you in His keeping, I have you in my heart.” My first recollections of Auntie Rose were of a lady who was very happy, self-confident, vibrant, and outgoing and she will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. I hold deep respect for her courage in all her endeavours and her guidance in my own. We wish to pass on our deepest sympathy to Auntie’s immediate family and we hope to see you all in the near future. And, may we always keep in touch. We know that Auntie is now resting in peace with all the loved ones who have gone before her. We also know that she will be looking down upon us all, still guiding us and be there ready to receive and greet us with open arms when it is our turn. That was Auntie Rose’s way! A very special lady who will never to be forgotten!! Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we will miss you Until we meet again! We now have one more angel to converse with! With much love, Louis & Doreen

Rose was a founding member of the Golden Sheaf Chapter of the Canada Post Heritage Club.. On behalf of us all, we will surely miss her support of our mission. She loved to travel on our Casino Bus trips and her humor and friendship was an inspiration to us. Our sincere sympathy to the family.

My childhood memories of Rose are vivid and wonderful. She was such a good friend of my Mom. They loved to dress to the nines, play bridge like pros and laugh with total abandon. They enjoyed life to the fullest. I remember Sunday dinners at her house. She was an excellent cook. I know how difficult it is to lose one's mother and I offer my deepest sympathies. Lots of love and prayers to the whole family. Diane Lair
