Dolly was her own strong person but she was much like her mother, Aquina. When a difficulty arose, she quietly faced it and dealt with it without fanfare. Dolly deeply cared for her family and the life that they built together, and that is evident in the strength of her children and grandchildren. She was also very welcoming of others and without much notice could put together a meal that some of us might need a day to plan for! A special memory for me was when my son Stephen and I took my dad, Dolly's brother Ernest, to "The South Country" for his last visit: Dolly invited all of the extended family for a shared potluck supper that lasted later than we could stay before heading back to Moose Jaw for the night. She showed me the many trees that she had planted and it made me think about how she could imagine the beauty as well as the benefit to others in the future. Maybe that came from living her life in "Next Year Country" ... I'm thankful to have known Dolly and feel lucky that my dad had such a special sister. Blessings to Elvin and all of her family. Starla

We would like to send our condolences to Dolly’s family. I loved visiting your family Ranch. Dolly and Elvin would welcome us with enthusiasm and you could count on Fritz the beautiful German Shepard to round us up into the house. The fresh eggs snd bread with the sound of bacon on the grill and lots of talking and laughter filled the house. She cared for so many and had room in her heart for everyone. Fond memories, Bonita, Barry, Aquina and Forrest Wihak

I remember Dolly very well, I remember the day she married Bill, we were at the Wood Mountain Stampede. Her sister, June, was my best friend, so I saw a lot of Dolly and the rest of the Anderson's. Wonderful family. I think the last time I saw and visited with Dolly was at the stampede when they celebrated 100 years. She was a sweet person and will be missed. I pray the Lord will welcome you with open arms, Dolly.

Dolly and I always seemed to connect , probably because I respected her so much and she reciprocated. We sat together at the rodeo and had our best visits there. It was sad when she could no longer attend . She had only missed one rodeo and that was when she was at teachers' college in Moose Jaw and didn't have a ride. She certainly earned a rest , but will be missed . My sincere sympathy to her family.
