My uncle Dave was a fantastic guy. He prety much knew everything that was worth knowing, and could build anything worth building. He taught me firearm safety, shooting skills, welding, metal fabrication, how to drive and fix vehicles and machinery. When I was young, I spent several summers in Melaval with him and my grandma, and had a great time. I especially liked ripping up and down the highway in the the hotrod, in the middle of the night, with open headers. I'm sure the folks in town didn't feel the same, after being awakened around 2 AM. I'm going to miss him. I wish everybody could have had an uncle like him.
