So sorry to hear of Laurie's early passing. Laurie was the first person I met when I moved to Gainsborough. We spent many years at the park, doing chores like making butter and separating milk. We often went to Melita drive in. I know she truly loved her family and Cecil was the love of her life.
Our sincere condolences to her husband, children and her brothers and their families.

My sincere condolences to Laurie's family and friends. I went to elementary school with Laurie in Gainsborough. She had a truly kind heart and was a lover of animals always. She made the best popcorn at the Gainsborough theatre, a job she did for years! I was fortunate to catch up with her a few years ago when we were both back in Gainsborough visiting family. So sad that she is gone so young. Glori-Faye Cowan

I always liked having coffee with Laurie at Merchandise on Main when she would get the coffee pot and provide refills for the rest of us customers. She was a neighbour for awhile and always a joy to visit with. She deserves a place in heaven.

I am so sorry to read of Lauri’s passing. I grew up in Gainsborough and remember Laurie well. She was a kind soul with a genuine smile. These memories were a pleasure to read and I am glad she lived her life to the fullest. Gone too soon but definitely cherished and loved beyond words. Our condolences to the entire family and friends for your loss. I’m sure Laurie will remain in your hearts and minds forever. RIP Laurie.

I am so sad to read this but the tribute sounded just like the little girl I started to school in Gainsborough . Laurie was a very special little girl & had such a lovely smile & cute giggle. I’m am so sorry to all her loved ones. It sounds like she grew up just like I imagined. Cherish these lovely memories. Sympathy from Donalene(Cameron) & Mike McMillen . I was her first grade teacher & she would have remembered .

My sympathy to you Cecil and family . My memory of Laurie ,was when for some reason I met her in the basement of our church. I believe that she had just moved to Lafleche ,whatever I was doing that day she helped me . She left me with a lovely impression of her. Yvonne Jalbert

thinking of all at this sad time. I will always remember Laurie with her long dark hair and infectious laughter she was a kind soul and amazing sister in law to my sister Shannon. They were close friends and now home they are reunited and enjoying each other's company. Hugs to all of her family.
