Obituary of Brian Tournat

Brian, age sixty-five, of Gravelbourg, SK, passed away on 20 February 2022 in Moose Jaw, SK.

A Private Funeral service will be held at Piche-Hawkins-Grondin Funeral Chapel, Gravelbourg, SK with Reverend Father Carlos Jimenez of Our Lady of Assumption Co-Cathedral officiating. Brian is to be cremated and his ashes scattered over his land at a later date.

Brian was born in Gravelbourg, SK to Vernon and Bernadette Tournat on 15 April 1956.  He spent the majority of his life tending his farm.  His love of animals extended to a multitude of creatures that he cared for in his house and on his farm. 

Brian is survived by his brothers Dennis, James, Andre, and his sister Diane. He will be fondly remembered by one nephew and several nieces, along with an abundance of great-nieces and great-nephews, many who have children of their own. He is preceded in death by his mother and father.

Memorial donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SASKSPCA) Box 37 Saskatoon, SK S7K 3K1.  Brian’s family wishes to extend their sincerest appreciation to the staff at Providence Place and the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital Hemodialysis Unit for their unwavering support. We'd also like to thank Kerry at Allbility Transportation  for his service and support, that went above and beyond.  In addition, the family would like to extend our gratitude to the Hixson family for their steadfast loyalty.
