Condolences from Joan and I to Edith and family on the passing of Mel. I worked for Mel as a summer job in the early 1970’s. Mel was great to work for he tolerated my mistakes with grace and humour. Mel loved his cows and the land. He had a great sense of humour and a kind heart. I last visited with Mel in the summer of 2019 it was a definite pleasure. I will always have fondness in my memory for Mel.
Highest regards
Barry Bishop

He was one of my best friends on the farm. I traded lots of cattle with him. He was a great guy ! He helped me build the Assiniboia rodeo corrals. He will be sadly missed forever! Doug McConnell
Mel was always one of my favorite cattlemen clients. He loved his animals and respected their needs above his own. He was a quiet man who cared deeply and was a kind and generous soul. He will be missed. Our condolences to the Noess family
