Obituary of Denise Halliwell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Denise Marie Halliwell, age 64, on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Denise was born to Armand and Antoinette (nee Leclaire) Beauchesne on July 8, 1957, at Gravelbourg, SK. She was a sister to René, Irene, and a twin to Doris. Denise attended Gravelbourg School.  In 1977, she began working at the local drug store; she worked there for approximately nine months and then began her career at the Gravelbourg Credit Union. Denise married the love of her life, Don Halliwell, on June 28, 1986. They were blessed with two children, Raylene and Steven. Denise took time away from work to stay home and care for her children. She rented a house in Gravelbourg and opened a daycare, which she ran for six years. Once Raylene and Steven were in school, Denise returned to the Gravelbourg Credit Union. One of Denise’s proudest moments was becoming a grandmother. She treasured the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.  Above all, Denise loved her family and was very proud of them. She was a beautiful, courageous, and kind soul, and will be greatly missed.

Denise’s cherished family, husband Don Halliwell; daughter Raylene Halliwell (Andrew Lam), grandchildren Brooklyn, Asher; son Steven Halliwell (Michelle Hoggard); sister Irene (Phil) Lech; twin sister Doris (Gary) Hoskins. Predeceased by her parents Armand and Antoinette Beauchesne; brother René (Lorraine) Beauchesne.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022, 1:00 p.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Co-Cathedral, Gravelbourg, SK, with Father Carlos Jimenez celebrant. Interment will take place at the Gravelbourg Roman Catholic Cemetery.  Memorial donations in memory of Denise may be made to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, 200 - 4545 Parliament Avenue, Regina, SK  S4W 0G3.
