Obituary of Craig Faulkner

Faulkner, Craig E. - 57

30 Dec 1964

Son of Edward “Red” and Brenda (Brown) Faulkner, Craig was born in Peterborough, Ontario and grew up in Amherst, Nova Scotia.

Craig was a devoted husband of Karen Ann Faulkner and loving father (“D.D.”) to Morgan (James), Iziah, Jenna, and Tripper Faulkner, his faithful companion. Brother of Steven (Kim) Faulkner and uncle to Connor and Parker Faulkner.

A graduate of Sir Sandford Flemming, he began his career in public works with the Town of Amherst in 1989. His career took him all over Canada through Nunavut, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories, and British Columbia. A few years after returning to Nova Scotia, he brought his family back to Saskatchewan in 2016 where he began working as Manager of Public Works for the Town of Gravelbourg.

Craig was a lover of the outdoors. A hunter, fisherman, tennis instructor, and hockey goaltender (#31). He loved good music and animals of all kinds, especially his four-legged family. He was known especially for his backwards hat and sunglasses, his good humor, and his exquisite sense of style.

Craig passed away on Tuesday 28-June-2022 with his family by his side. His family would like to thank Dr. Pillay and the nursing staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their kindness and compassion.

His family will be holding a private celebration of his life at his favorite place in Nova Scotia at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Craig’s honor to Running Wild Rescue animal shelter in Moose Jaw, SK, or to an animal shelter of your choice.
