I got to know Cass closer during spring staff at West Bank. As the camp made preparations for the upcoming summer, Cass and I would always seek jobs to do together to accomplish “fellowship!” And “efficiency!” (Although it never takes two people to change a garbage bag, the moral support was needed). Throughout these jobs, (like sanding ceilings for hours and having dust and paint fall into our eyes), we would talk about nearly everything under the sun. When I needed relationship advice, God advice, someone to rant to, or someone to laugh with, I had the joy to share all of that with Cass. Throughout those times she helped me learn that, through life’s troubles, God’s faithfulness prevails. Which is a lesson that I have really been remembering this week. Cass, Daegan, and I got together frequently after camp, and made memories that I think of often. Classic road-trips, icecream runs, and good ole Godly conversation:) During that time in my life I had been asking for Christian lights around me, and God gave me Cass. My heart is aching for the family I know she loved so dearly, for her West Bank family, for the students, kids, and friends she’s poured into. Miss you, Cassidy❤️
