It was so sad to hear of Jackie’s passing. I fondly remember Jackie as a kind, giving, and common-sense friend.
I first met Jackie in the ‘70’s, after she moved into the house at the end of the block where we lived in Allan, Sk. I was overjoyed she not only had kids to babysit, but they all spoke French, a language I was trying to learn.
Jackie helped me with every aspect of learning French. (The kids helped, too!) She diligently corrected lessons and patiently helped with pronunciation. Many nights we sat up until past midnight going over my correspondence lessons. She didn’t just quickly correct my work, she also taught me practical French that I use to this day, rather than only boring, text book French. On many occasions, I have been complimented on how much practical French I understand. This all came from Jackie, Norm and interacting in French with Angela, Roger, Giles, René and Carmelle. What a wonderful classroom and opportunity to learn!
Jackie was a positive influence on my life. Her compassion, common sense and positive attitude were hallmarks of her personality. She always took time to listen and help.
I remain very grateful for having known her and being able to call her my friend.
Rest forever in peace, dear friend. My most heartfelt condolences to Norm, Angela, Roger, René, Carmelle and families.
Toujours en mémoire,
Ramona Garman

Jackie, we had 57+ wonderful years together. You have been taken away from me way to soon but our memories and our love we shared will continue to live on in my heart. You were everything to me, and I miss you terribly. Love you forever, Normand and Dusky ❤️❤️

Grandma, not a day goes by I don’t think about you! I miss your laugh, our conversations even when you would crack dirty jokes, our little arguments of who loves each other more, the smell of your favorite avon perfum, I’ll miss the endless offerings of peppermints that you had all over the house and car in ziploc bags. I will always cherish our daily FaceTime calls with you as Cody always demanded to call to say goodnight. Allie and Cody were so lucky to have you as there GG. We love and miss you so much! “Love you longer” ❤️

Mom things are not the same without you. My heart hurts. Without you I wouldn’t be here today and I wouldn’t be the person I am. You were always there for me no matter what and believed in me. Thank you for being the best Mom in the world. I love you and miss you dearly. You will always be in my heart. Love you Angie ❌⭕️⭕️❌
