Obituary of Allen McCrea

McCrea - Allen McCrea is no longer on this side of the grass. He cashed in on April 15, 2014 at the ripe old age of 86 years. He was a ’27 model, born to Ed and Ethel (Graves) McCrea on Nov 29, 1927 on the homestead at Milly, SK. He joins his parents and baby sister Doris at the Poverty Canyon in the sky. Missing him back here are his loving wife of 62 years, Audrey; brothers Gordon (Joyce) and Murray (Norma); children Connie (Barry) Kennedy, Lynette (Bill) Greffard, Tom (Janet) McCrea, Len (Debbie) McCrea, Tim (Jane) McCrea, Sherry McCrea and Jody (Scott) Wise; grandchildren Troy Eklund, Jolene Airth (Howard), Bernadette Greffard (Wes Nairne), Vern Greffard, Morgan McCrea, Justin McCrea, Shanna McCrea (Kole Ray), Callie McCrea, Shyla Lacroix (Sean), Layne McCrea (Tiffany), Dillan McCrea, Heidi Goffinet (Curtis), Stacey McCrea (Robyn Kerr), Heather McCrea (Kelly Thingvold), Raylee McCrea (Bryan Swarbrick), Claire Gettle, Brady Wise and Alex Wise; 12 great-grandchildren; and his many nieces, nephews, outlaws and friends. A memorial will be held at the Gravelbourg Church of Christ building on Monday, April 21st at 1:30 pm. Please join us to remember Allen, even though he won’t be going to your funeral. Milk and cookies with a more-ish taste will be served immediately following the service, while we tell lies. The one that eats the fastest gets the most!
