Everyone knew you and you made people smile! The last few years, my dad took you under his wings and so I got to know you a bit better. Everyone calls you Elvis or Bernie but dad always called you Bernard. You liked that! When dad couldn't do a job because he wasn't feeling good, he could always count on you to help him out in exchange for cigarettes. I'm thankful you were there when I couldn't be. I know it was hard on you when dad passed. We were happy to bring a smile on your face by giving you his lifelong ashtray. Sometimes it's the little things that count most! As much as it saddens me that you are gone now too...It brings a smile to my face at the idea of you and dad smoking a cigarette and having a beer in the afterlife. You won't be forgotten, rest easy!
