Our condolences to Rita, Hector, Lucien and their families. When I was a child and we drove to Gravelbourg, seeing Omer and Thérèse was always a highlight of the visit. Even during our last visits a few years ago, our first stop was to see them. What I remember is Omer’s kindness, his smile, his sense of humour and his hospitality. We always felt at home in their house. It is sad that Omer has passed away, but we feel that he had a full and productive life. He loved and was loved by our part of the family. We will miss him.

To the staff at the foyer

I love hearing the stories the staff share with me. Please continue to stop me on the street or in a store to share yet another story about Dad. There are many. And they are precious to me. Dad never meant to hurt anyone, but at times he seemed to "not like someone so much" and I would get called in to come settle him down, and talk to him. I would be so mad, but I couldn't make myself "give Dad heck about it", so I would share with him how I did not like to get phone calls like this. I would tell Dad he always liked everybody before, and he would answer ... "well, not no more!" But that phase passed and lately almost always was happy. Five years is maybe not a long time, but it's long enough. We have many memories and his time in the foyer has now become an important part of his history. We will forever be"grateful" to all for your love and respect for Dad. XXX 000
