Simple Joys continued

We were at a party at John and Bonnie’s in Issaquah. Lots of teachers and administrators. I am neither. Neither was John. John had an Eagles concert playing on video that I was watching. Something tapped my shoulder. I looked up and it was John with a sly grin...and a bottle of beer.</p>

Simple Joy

John and Bonnie were visiting a few years back. Our kitty went up to John and dropped his toy at his feet and I told John that declawed Snug wanted him to play. Sitting, John picked up the chewed pipe cleaner and started to wave it in front of the cat who immediately started boxing John's large, work-worn hands. Well, those powder puff paws brought on a smile and a giggle until his shoulders were shaking. It's a precious moment in time that I will always remember.</p>
<p>
I wish that Michael and I could have known John working in his garden, but my memories are all from visits. So, my simple joys continued over the years with hours of stories and laughter with John and Bonnie in Mona or at Pogacha's in Issaquah enjoying a brew.</p>

John, we miss you, your kindness, and your quiet wisdom. We'll all of us meet again,</p>

We always enjoyed our many fun times together (full of laughter of course) both in Mesa and at home. My heart goes out to you Bonnie and family and of course Johns family. We have shared so many fun times and lots of laughs and I am so thankful for that. John was a wonderful man and will miss his quiet demeanour and of course the teasing!
